About Hesper

I grew up in Colorado & have lived in the valley for 20 years with my husband, Gibb (he’s pretty neat too;). I love the mountains, spring wildflowers & trail running. My work background is in bookkeeping & office management. My weaknesses are perfectionism & potato chips. My strengths are a strong work ethic and a sunny, cheerful disposition.

I call myself a moderate minimalist. When friends walk into my home, they often ask, “where’s all your stuff?” I feel that life’s greatest joys are not related to things. I have experienced that contentment & gratitude fill me up, whereas too many things & the pursuit of them weighs me down.

That being said… I know most people prefer a few more things. They have families, hobbies, sports, collections & all that comes with a life lived. We all gather treasures along the way. Some more than others. But I think all of us, whether we lean towards living with less or collecting & curating, thrive when we live & work in functional, organized spaces (to varying degrees). So we all stand to improve our quality of life by asking 3 simple questions a little more often: “do I need it? do I use it? do I love it?”

My Values

Hard Work

I like to work! I am a diligent, hard worker & don’t shy away from difficult tasks. I am productivity driven & love the sense of accomplishment from a job well done.

Honesty

You need to be able to trust the person you bring in to sort through your belongings. You can expect total honesty, full transparency & clear communication in all your dealings with me.

Contentment

I believe that once we have the basics, more things add little to our peace & happiness. I try to limit my pursuit of possessions so as to have the time & energy for taking care of my spiritual side, to cultivate meaningful friendships & involve myself in activities that contribute to real joy. I am passionate about helping others experience the joy & peace that trying to live a simple life has brought me.

Gratitude

The anecdote to always wanting more is to appreciate what we already have. As we declutter & organize, it’s much easier to get rid of excess stuff if we can see & value how much we already have.
